Aston Martin History

The founders of the brand «Aston Martin» called Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, who in 1914 in London's Kensington district built a lightweight sports car with a 1.4-liter Coventry-Simples cars on the chassis of the Italian Isotta Fraschini. The year before, by car, Martin Singer-10 has won in local races on the hill Aston Clinton, and to commemorate this event, a new car called the "Aston Martin".

In 2000 - the owner of Aston Martin, the US auto giant Ford, officially presented the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, which in the autumn of this year, went on sale and ranked the most modern and technically advanced cars in the lineup of the British manufacturer. Thanks to the new, more powerful engine and the use of lightweight materials has a stunning car running characteristics. 12-cylinder, 6-liter engine delivers a top speed of Vanquish at 310 km / h, acceleration to 100 km / h takes less than 4.5 seconds and to 160 km / h - less than 10 seconds. In tandem with this super power power plant operates 6-speed transmission. Interior decoration is made of walnut root, leather and rugs from Connolly from Wilton: Vanquish like a machine, and not all, but some kind of a boutique on the Champs Elysees. Needless to say that the car is literally crammed with all possible electronics. All information is processed on-board computer (which, according to engineers, can carry up to 2 million instructions per second), is displayed, and the most important - is duplicated voice.
